Our Carewalkers Past & Present
Owner & Operator / Carewalker
Outside of this, I pursue music and ride bicycles with my spouse. Living in the NE made it easy to develop a small network of walkable dogs. I’ve met a lot of the right people to bring us where we are. The objective is to keep it personal and small. It is important for the owners to know the people well that are walking their dogs. I spend the most time ensuring your “carewalkers” are reliable, trustworthy, and full of love for your pets.
Kaitlyn is connected to Michael, Melissa and I from college. She worked at Nike and before that, daycare at Stay Pet Hotel. She cashiers for Spring Hill Farm at local markets. She gets along well with people and is a dog lover for sure! Her connections with dog and owner make them all smile. Kaitlyn and her partner, Travis are just moving to NE Portland. They hike together every weekend, rain or shine! He is a mural artist who collaborates with Michael.
Michael is a fine artist and muralist from Miami. He graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design and moved West years ago. He is into fitness and loves animals. Animals love him. He has been affiliated and helped RDW grow for 3 yrs now. His positive energy translates directly to your pets and his ability to inspire timid animals is a great asset as well.
Christa volunteered at OHS walking many different sizes and temperaments of dogs. She is a natural who loves dogs as much as she commands them. She teaches at Core Power Yoga and does administrative work. She instructs weekend courses and expands her own practice with their advanced training. Her ability to be calm translates well onto some of our wild ones. 😉
Melissa spent 9 years as a manager at World Market and is now enrolled at PSU to finish her degree. Her passion for dogs, outdoors, nutrition, and fitness are all part of her unique character. She has been affiliated and helped RDW grow for 3 yrs now. Her command helps lead different dog types in the right directions and changes obedience levels to ensure they get good exercise and love.
Animals have always been a huge part of Angie’s life. When she was 17, she got her own dog, Kali, a Husky mix. For 15 years, Angie learned patience and love through Kali and still misses her very much. She’s been self- employed for five years now with her own sewing business and understands how important trust and loyalty are. Getting a supplemental job that involved moving around with pets was the perfect compliment to her sewing career.
Sloan has a lifetime of horse training experience / dog ownership, and is currently at PCC for a degree in Biology and Veterinary Assisting. She’s a native Oregonian that sings in a punk band, and also has a voice for the blues. Sloan and Melissa met in college and Melissa made it a point for me to meet her!
